Tottenham’s Future.

We all know that we have one of, if not the best youth systems in the Premier League right now, and in this post I’m going to outline the players with the most promising future:

Tom Carroll, Centre Midfield – Tom is an outstanding player, on the ball he is very good, he’s calm and he can pick out a pass. He has slowly earned a spot on the bench for the first team squad, but he still has a place in our Under-21 squad. At just 20 years old, he already has a lot to offer our squad, and I expect his involvement to grow and grow along with his ability. The only thing Tom really lacks is strength, he’s a very small young player and some think he doesn’t have the required strength to perform in the Premier League, but this lack of strength can be worked on quite easily. Some are already thinking of him as the long term replacement for Modrić!

Shaq Coulthirst, Striker – Shaq is a very good prospect at just 18 he is prolific for the Under-21s in front of goal, with 20 goals this season. He has been suggested by many as a player that should start for our first team, with our strikers in the bad run of form that they are, he may be a good option. Shaq is a very quick player, he can get past defenders, and on a one on one with the keeper, you would fancy him to bury it. He is competent in the air, and his hold up play he is very good, wouldn’t be surprised if he were to break in to the first team squad next year!

Andros Townsend, Left/Right Midfielder – Andros has played his fair share of first team games, but it was hard for him to really break into the starting 11, so we have loaned him out to Queens Park Rangers to gain some Premier League experience, and he has done a great job so far! He’s one of QPR’s best players at the moment, already winning their player of the month award, and it looks as though he could fit into our first team with those sort of performances. Aaron Lennon is obviously our first choice right midfielder, but next season, when we get Andros back, Aaron will be pushed hard for his place. Andros is a very quick player, and he dribbles with the ball very well, he’s hopefully going to be a top player for us in the future.

Other players that could have massive futures are; Alex Pritchard (Left Midfield), Soulamanye Coulibaly (Striker), Harry Kane (Striker), and Iago Falque (Centre Attacking Midfielder).

Hopefully AVB can integrate them with the first team next season, and help them develop into the top players they can be.

The future is bright, the future is Lilywhite. COYS!!
